If you do not hear a ringtone through your earbuds during an incoming call, or if the ringtone plays through both your phone and the earbuds at the same time, the cause may be related to your phone settings or calling app behavior.

If the ringtone is not heard through the earbuds
If your earbuds do not play a ringtone during an incoming call, please check the following:

Check Silent Mode on your phone. If your phone is on silent, the earbuds will not play a ringtone either. Turn off Silent Mode and try again.

On iPhone, check “Attention Aware Features.” When this setting is enabled, the ringtone volume on both your phone and earbuds may automatically lower when your phone is picked up or when your face is detected. This can make it seem as though the phone is not ringing.

To turn it off, go to: Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Attention Aware Features

Check your calling app’s status. For some calling apps, incoming calls may not trigger a ringtone on your phone or earbuds when the app is running only in the background. Keep the calling app open in the foreground and test again.
If the ringtone plays through both the phone and the earbuds
Some phones are designed to play the incoming call ringtone through both the phone speaker and connected Bluetooth devices at the same time. This behavior is controlled by the phone and cannot always be changed directly from the earbuds.

Switch your phone to Silent or Vibrate mode.
