Can the Ear Cushions Be Removed?
Yes. The ear cushions on the soundcore Space 2 are designed to be removable. You can take them off and put on a replacement set yourself at home — no tools are required. This is part of routine maintenance to keep your headphones fresh and comfortable.
The ear cushions are not left/right specific, so either cushion can be installed on either earcup.
This guide walks you through the full replacement process in five simple steps: removing the old ear cushion and installing the new one.
Notice Before You Start
-
Turn off your headphones to avoid accidental button presses while you handle the earcups.
-
Work on a clean, flat surface so parts stay in place and you can operate comfortably.
-
Prepare: your soundcore Space 2 headphones and the replacement ear cushions (one for each earcup).
-
Keep your hands clean and dry to keep the cushion material fresh.

Note: The ear cushions are not left/right specific — either fits either earcup, and the method is the same for both sides.
Part 1: Remove the Old Ear Cushion
-
Hold the earcup steady with your left hand.
-
Grip the edge of the ear cushion with your right hand.
-
Use your thumb to push the ear cushion inward from the outer side.
-
While pressing inward, pull the cushion firmly outward to release it from the earcup.

Tip: Work gently around the edge using your hands. The cushion is designed to release by hand, so there is no need for any tools.
Part 2: Install the New Ear Cushion
-
Align the positioning points — match each locating pin on the cushion with the corresponding hole on the earcup.

-
Press into place — insert the cushion and press evenly around the edges until it sits flush all around.

-
Done — repeat for the other side if needed.

Maintenance Suggestions
-
Work with clean, dry hands to keep the cushion material fresh and comfortable against the skin.
-
Align before pressing — taking a moment to line up the locating pins helps the cushion seat smoothly and evenly.
-
Press evenly, not forcefully — the cushion is designed to snap in with consistent pressure around the edge.
-
Check the fit — after installation, run your finger around the edge to confirm a clean, even finish with no raised sections.
What to Expect
-
The new ear cushions should sit flush against the earcup with a clean, even finish.
-
Both the left and right cushions are interchangeable — there is no need to match a specific cushion to a specific side.
-
If a cushion feels like it could sit more evenly, simply remove it and reseat it, making sure all locating pins are correctly aligned with their holes.
