If the play/pause, volume, or track-skip buttons on your Q31i do not respond, it is usually related to the Bluetooth connection status, the signal source, media control permissions, or background apps. Most cases can be resolved by following the steps below in order.
Before You Start: Please make sure the headphone is powered on and connected to a device.
Troubleshooting Steps:
-
Check the Bluetooth connection status: Make sure the headphone is not connected to another Bluetooth device at the same time. If the phone is connected to another Bluetooth speaker or headphone, control commands may conflict. Disconnect other Bluetooth audio devices and try again.
-
Confirm the signal source: The headphone's controls are designed mainly for audio apps. Some video apps may not respond to the headphone's play/pause command. Try testing the buttons with a standard music app.
-
Test other buttons: If all buttons are unresponsive, it may be a Bluetooth connection or button issue. If some buttons work and others do not, check the phone's settings and permissions and the app currently playing.
-
Check media control permissions: On some devices, you must manually enable media control permissions. In your phone's settings, confirm that the headphone has been authorized as a media control device.
-
Clear background cache: Running multiple music or audio apps at the same time may cause command conflicts. Close other audio apps running in the background. If necessary, clear the background apps and try again.
