Why might soundcore P42i not automatically reconnect?

If your earbuds don't automatically reconnect to your device, here are the common issues and fixes.

 

How can I troubleshoot the following soundcore P42i issues?

  1. Earbuds not pairing.

  2. Sound only coming from one earbud.

  3. One side not pairing with the other side or the device.

  4. Lack of audio playback after connecting to my device.

  5. Failure to automatically connect with my device upon removing from the charging case.

 

  1. Ensure you have removed the protective film covering the charging pins and fully charged the earbuds.

  2. Restart your Bluetooth device (e.g., phone or computer). Forget all previous pairing records on the device and turn off Bluetooth.

  3. Fully charge the earbuds and reset them by following these steps:

  • Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open.

  • Press and hold the button on the charging case for 10 seconds until the LED indicator flashes quickly 3 times, confirming the reset is successful.

  1. Turn on your device's Bluetooth, search for "soundcore P42i," and pair.

Test the earbuds with another device (phone/tablet, etc.) to see if the issue persists.

  1. If a pop-up window asks to confirm pairing with "soundcore P42i," select "Pair." If you accidentally select "Cancel," you will need to refresh (turn off and on) your device's Bluetooth and pair the earbuds again.

Why does soundcore P42i occasionally fail to reconnect automatically after disconnecting or going out of range?

  1. This compatibility issue occurs on certain phones or tablets (e.g., iOS 18.1.0) and is related to the device itself. We recommend updating your device's OS.

  2. Turn your phone's Bluetooth off and on again. Place the earbuds back in the case, close the lid, and then open it to reconnect.

  3. If the earbuds are out of range for more than 10 minutes, they will not reconnect automatically and will require manual connection.

  4. Try pairing with another device to see if the issue persists.

  3. Clear the pairing record from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pair. If you cannot find the earbuds' Bluetooth name, force them into pairing mode using one of these methods:

  • While wearing both earbuds, press and hold both touch controls for 3 seconds.

  • With both earbuds in the case, press and hold the charging case button for 3 seconds.
