What if Your Phone Keeps Showing "App is Needed" When Using the Soundcore Flare Speaker?

It's likely the Soundcore Flare speaker has encountered an error when working with some devices, such as a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. It may keep showing "an app is needed" when trying to connect in the Soundcore app.

You can try the following steps:

- Uninstall and reinstall the Soundcore app.

- Factory reset the speaker. Press and hold the "BassUp" and "Play/Pause" buttons for 8 seconds at the same time to reset.  When the speaker resets successfully, the BassUp and light indicators will flash twice and the speaker will power off.

- Confirm the speaker is paired with your phone via Bluetooth.

- Try the speaker with another phone.

If you have additional questions, please contact us at service@soundcore.com for further assistance. Make sure to mention that you have tried the steps in this FAQ so our agents do not ask you to repeat these steps.
