Software and firmware updates improve product features and stability. Please keep your product's firmware up to date to ensure its peak performance.
If you are unable to successfully update your product's firmware by using a computer, please try the following steps.
- Try a different USB cable.
Try connecting your product with a different USB cable to determine if there is an issue with the first cable.
Much like rebooting a smartphone, your speaker might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues.
- Reboot your computer.
Reboot your computer by powering it off completely and then powering it back on again. This can help to resolve minor processing issues on the computer.
- Try a different Internet or Hotspot on your phone.
Try to update it by using a different internet or hotspot to determine if there is a network issue.
- Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software on the computer.
In case the updater is blocked by security software on the computer, disable security software and try again. Be sure to re-enable the security software when finished.
Your product may need a service.
If the steps provided do not resolve your issue, your speaker may need a service. Follow the link for more information on how to service your product. Depending on your speaker and region, you will be provided a contact number or the ability to set up service online.
If you are unable to update your firmware through the Soundcore app successfully, please try the following steps.
Note: Some of the older speaker models do not support the Soundcore app. Make sure the speaker you use works with the Soundcore app.

- In the Bluetooth settings of the device, remove your speaker, reconnect it, then try the update again.
In the Bluetooth settings of your device, there is a list of previously-connected devices. Find your speaker in this list and choose to remove or forget it, and then reconnect the device to your speaker and try the update again.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Soundcore app.
Uninstall the Soundcore app on your Android or iOS device, and then reinstall the Soundcore app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
