1. This may be related to your device. Some phones (such as certain OPPO or Sony models) may not support this feature due to incompatible system protocols.
2. If your earbuds are connected to multiple devices, only the active device can use the photo-taking function. The secondary device in a Multi-Device Connection cannot trigger it.
3. This may have to do with your phone settings. To check, go to your phone camera settings > Press volume key to > Select "Take photo or record video." If "Control volume" is selected, you cannot take photos.
- Android: Open Camera > Settings (gear icon) > Find a similar option: Volume key function / Volume key to take photo / Use volume key to shoot > Set volume key to "Take photo / Shutter" or "Record video" (do not select "Zoom/Volume").
- iOS: iPhone's built-in camera supports volume key capture by default. The Volume + / Volume - button can be used to take photos or start/stop video recording.
