What Should I Do If I Experience Connection Issues with My soundcore Q31i?

If you experience an unstable connection, pairing difficulties, or connection drops with your Q31i, it is usually related to the usage environment, firmware or system version, or device compatibility. Most cases can be resolved by following the steps below in order.

Before You Start: Please make sure the headphone is powered on and connected to a device.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Confirm the basics: Before troubleshooting further, please confirm the following:

    1. Make sure you are not in a call. Try pairing again after ending the call.

    2. In LDAC mode, the headphone cannot enter dual-device pairing mode. Please exit LDAC mode in the soundcore app under "Settings" > "Sound mode" and try again.

  2. Environmental interference:

    1. Avoid signal interference: Stay away from devices that use the 2.4GHz band (such as Wi-Fi routers and microwaves).

    2. Reduce electromagnetic interference: Make sure there are no strong magnetic or electrical devices nearby (such as large appliances or power tools).

    3. Test in an open area: Try pairing and using the headphone in an open area to rule out signal shielding caused by walls or building structures.

  3. Firmware and system updates:

    1. Use the soundcore app to update the headphone firmware.

    2. Make sure your phone or computer is running the latest operating system version (Android, iOS, or Windows).

    3. Computer users should check that the Bluetooth adapter driver is up to date.

  4. Compatibility check:

    1. Try connecting the headphone to another phone, tablet, or computer to see whether the issue persists.

    2. Connect other Bluetooth accessories to the current device to confirm whether the issue is related to the current device.

    3. Make sure the headphone is compatible with the host device in Bluetooth protocol and audio codec (such as SBC or AAC).

5.Reset or contact support:

If the previous steps do not resolve the issue, try a reset.

  • Factory reset : It clears all pairing records and settings and restores the headphone to its factory state—re-pair after it completes.

    • Make sure the headphone is powered on.

    • Press and hold the Power button and the Volume "+" button together for about 5 seconds.

    • When the red power light slowly flashes 3 times, the factory reset is in progress.

  • Hard reset : It only forces a restart and does not change pairing records or settings.

    • Use a 5V/1A charger to charge the headphone for about 5 seconds.

    • Unplug the charging cable.

    • Power on the headphone manually.
