In the case that your wired doorbell fails to connect to WiFi in the eufy app, please try the following troubleshooting steps.
1. Make sure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz WiFi. eufy wired doorbell only works with 2.4GHz WiFi.
2. Enable your phone’s hotspot so that your doorbell connects to the phone’s hotspot. Here is how: How to Change the Wi-Fi Details for eufySecurity Devices.
If the doorbell can connect to your hotspot but is still unable to connect to your WiFi, the issue might be related to your router/WiFi settings. Please try the following steps.
- Confirm if your WiFi is encrypted by WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK
- Reset the router
- If possible, move the router closer to the doorbell. The distance between the doorbell and the router should be within 30 ft.
