Please note that while the camera’s integrated solar panel continuously charges the built-in battery, it still consumes power while functioning. Therefore, if the camera consumes power quicker than it can be recharged via its integrated solar panel, the battery percentage of the camera will drop as a result.
1. Environmental Factor
The solar panel is not charging the camera efficiently due to environmental factors, such as the camera not being exposed to direct sunlight due to its installation location. In this case, we recommend adjusting the camera location for its integrated solar panel to receive at least two hours of direct sunlight daily, or connect an external eufy solar panel to the camera.
2. Usage Scenario
The camera consumes power quicker than it can be recharged via its integrated solar panel. In this case, we recommend reducing the camera’s motion detection sensitivity to prevent false triggers. Additionally, please refer to the following camera settings that will also prevent the camera from consuming too much power:
- Select Power Saver mode.
- Select Human Only mode.
- Enable the Activity Zone feature to monitor specific areas of interest.
