The E20 robot vacuum operates mainly by utilizing its integrated lidar to analyze the surrounding environment and gather accurate data to create a detailed map.
However, if you see additional unfamiliar areas on the map, it might be attributed to the following reasons:
-
Since the robot's integrated lidar is positioned above the lower frame of the sliding glass door, it will scan the surroundings inside and outside of the sliding glass door, which is included on the map. This is due to the design and operation mechanism of laser robot models. Please note that these areas cannot be deleted from the map.
-
The robot might perform similarly while scanning areas near glass cabinets, railings, couches, and small enclosures beneath the position of its integrated lidar. While these extra areas on the map cannot be deleted from the map, they will not affect the robot's ability to function properly and deliver optimal cleaning results.
Additionally, you can prevent the robot from including these areas on the map by creating a virtual wall or no-go zone.
