If your X10 Pro Omni encounters the error message "Error: Front Bumper Stuck, Please Tap the Bumper," it indicates that there is an issue with the front bumper of the robotic vacuum cleaner. This error can prevent the robotic vacuum cleaner from operating correctly. This article is designed to provide step-by-step instructions on how to troubleshoot this specific issue.
Step 1: Inspecting the Gap Between the Front Bumper and the Main Body of the Robotic Vacuum Cleaner
Begin by carefully lifting the top cover of the robotic vacuum cleaner to inspect the gap between the front bumper and the main body of the robotic vacuum cleaner. You should be able to see a space where the front bumper is meant to have some degree of freedom to move. Please refer to the following images that provide examples of a normal gap (green arrow) and an abnormal gap (red) between the bumper and the main body of the robotic vacuum cleaner.
Step 2: Checking the Bumper's Rebound
If the gap between the front bumper and the main body of the robotic vacuum cleaner is even, please gently tap the front bumper to check if it can rebound normally. A properly functioning bumper should spring back into place without getting stuck.
Step 3: Addressing an Uneven Gap
In the case where the gap is not even, and the front bumper does not rebound after being tapped, it may be necessary to disassemble and reassemble the front bumper. Please refer to the following tips when disassembling and reassembling the front bumper:
- Ensure that the screws are not overtightened. Over-tightening the screws can restrict the movement of the bumper, leading to the front bumper being stuck.
- After reassembling the bumper, please manually tap the front bumper to confirm that it can easily and automatically rebound. A correctly installed bumper should move freely without getting stuck.
