Does the doorbell connect to the Internet through the Homebase? Or does it connect directly to the router?
Yes. The doorbell connects to the Internet through the Homebase and it cannot connect to the router directly.
Can I place the Homebase in the middle of my house?
Yes. You can move the Homebase to an ideal place in your house by switching it to a Wi-Fi connection. Here is how to Connect the HomeBase 2 to Wi-Fi.
How many cameras can Homebase 2 support?
In theory, one Homebase 2 can add up to 16 cameras and 16 sensors.
Can I download the recorded videos and save them?
Yes. You can download the videos to your phone’s album via the eufy App in MP4 format.
How can I delete doorbell videos that aren't needed?
You can delete videos by launching the Eufy App and selecting the Events tab.
1) You can delete it by going "Main Page > Security > Events " . Tap the Edit button at the upper right corner of the Events page, choose events you don't want to reserve, and then delete them.
2) Play the unwanted video and you will see a delete button on the bottom of the screen.
Does the Video Doorbell Dual support facial recognition?
Yes, the Video Doorbell Dual supports facial recognition.
The camera is being triggered by a specific plant moving in the wind. Is there a way to tell it that the plant is not human?
The human body and face detection is a machine learning AI algorithm. Sometimes it may not be able to detect a person correctly. In this case, you can turn down the Motion Detection sensitivity and readjust the activity zone to filter and minimize false triggers.
Is there any way to turn off the Eufy app notification for motion detection?
Yes. You can disable it by going "App Side Bar > Settings > Notifications > App Notification" in the doorbell settings. Then you will not receive any motion detection notification when your doorbell camera detects a motion.
Can I watch remote videos and know who is at my door when I am at work?
Yes. The Eufy App helps you keep an eye on things and stay connected to your eufy products anywhere you have an Internet connection. For instance, with the Eufy App, you can get instant notifications when the Video Doorbell Dual detects motion. If you tap on the notification, you will be able to watch the Live View or recorded videos on your mobile phone.
Does this Video Doorbell Dual provide “Instant Alerts”?
Yes. The Eufy App supports users to choose from multiple notification types (Text Only or with Facial Snapshot). Select Text Only, so that the notification would be delivered to your phone much faster.
Does not having a 3-second buffer matter if you set motion zones?
Sorry, the Video Doorbell Dual does not have a 3-seconds buffer, but you can turn up the sensitivity level to make it more sensitive.
Why can't I live stream from the Video Doorbell Dual?
If the Video Doorbell Dual is working properly but the live stream feature is not working, please check the following:
- Pull down on the device list to refresh the device’s status.
- Check the HomeBase LED. If it's red, it's offline.
- Press the button on the doorbell. If the LED does not light up, it means the doorbell does not have power.
Would doorbell work with Google Nest Hub? What function does it support now?
With the help of Google Assistant, Google Nest Hub can only support Voice Triggered Live Streaming. We are working on the remaining functions and hope to make them available soon.

Can I use Echo/Google Home Mini/Google Home as a chime?
Yes. You can use Alexa Echo as a chime.
1. Enable the eufy Security skill on your Alexa app.
2. Link the eufy security account to Alexa.
3. Discover a new device.
4. Find the battery doorbell and enable "Doorbell Announcement".
Google Home/Google Home Mini is not supported.
What is the maximum number of Alexa devices that can be used as the doorbell chime?
No limitation as we know.
