What is the capacity of the doorbell’s local storage?
Store video recordings on a microSD card with up to 128GB capacity, eliminating the need for monthly subscription fees and ensuring your data remains under your control.
Can I expand the doorbell’s local storage?
Yes. You can connect the doorbell to either a HomeBase 2 or a HomeBase 3 to expand storage:
-
HomeBase 2: Comes with 16GB built-in storage.
-
HomeBase 3: Comes with 16GB built-in storage and supports hard drive expansion.
How does the local storage work?
When the doorbell is connected to the router, it stores video recordings on a microSD card with up to 128GB capacity. When the doorbell is connected to a HomeBase, it stores video recordings on the HomeBase.
The doorbell starts recording when it detects an event, encrypts the video using AES 256-bit encryption, and then transfers the video to its local storage.
How many hours of video storage does the doorbell provide?
Please note that the actual length of video storage depends on the recording frequency and video length. Generally, a 16GB local storage can store videos for up to 180 days when the doorbell records 30 videos daily, with 20 seconds per video.
