In the world of smart home security, it can be frustrating when a security device goes offline and fails to work properly. However, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue when your device goes offline. This article is designed to guide you through the process step by step.
Step 1: Check for Power Outage
Check if there is a power outage in your area. If your Wall Light Cam does not have power, the LED indicator light on the camera will be turned off.
Step 2: Verify Your Router's Internet Connection
Ensure that your router has an active Internet connection. If your router is experiencing Internet connection issues, the LED indicator light on your Wall Light Cam will flash red.
Step 3: Update WiFi Connection
If you have recently changed your WiFi credentials or replaced your router, you will need to update the WiFi connection to your Wall Light Cam. To update your WiFi credentials to connect your Wall Light Cam, simply launch the eufy Security app and navigate to Wall Light Cam Settings > General > WiFi Connection.
Step 4: Check Router's Location
If you have recently moved your router, check whether your Wall Light Cam may be out of the 2.4GHz WiFi range. If so, you may need to move your router closer to the camera or vice versa.
Step 5: Restart Your Wall Light Cam
Try restarting the Wall Light Cam by manually powering off your Wall Light Cam and then powering it back on. This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.
Step 6: Verify Your WiFi Channel (For US Users)
For users in the United States, please verify that your WiFi channel is set between 1 to 11. If necessary, you can change this by going to your router’s settings.
