The S1 Pro Firmware Update FAQ
 

For your S1 Pro to consistently achieve optimal cleaning results and utilize the newest features, it is essential to always keep the robot's firmware up to date. Please refer to the following firmware update steps:

Receiving Firmware Update Notification

  1. When a new firmware version is available, you will be alerted through the eufy Clean app on your phone. A notification will appear prompting you to update the firmware.

Initiating Firmware Update

  1. To start the update process, please tap the update notification on your phone screen or go to "Settings > Firmware Upgrade" in the eufy Clean app.

Performing Firmware Update

  1. Confirm you would like to update the firmware and the robot will begin installing the latest firmware version automatically.
 

Important Requirements

  • The robot must be properly docked at its base station with the base station and the robot powered on.
  • A stable network signal is needed to install firmware updates.
  • The update process typically takes between 10 to 20 minutes. Please do not operate the robot before it completes the update process.
 

Troubleshooting Firmware Update Failures

If your S1 Pro robot fails to install the latest firmware version, please refer to the following common causes and their corresponding solutions.

Common Causes:

  • A weak or unstable network connection.
  • The robot is not positioned at the base station.
  • The robot is powered off.
  • The update process has become unresponsive or frozen.

Solutions:

  1. Verify your network's stability. If you are experiencing connectivity issues, switch to a more reliable network before attempting to update the robot's firmware again.
  2. Confirm the robot is correctly placed at the base station and powered on.
  3. If the firmware update appears unresponsive or frozen for an extended period, please manually remove the robot from the base station to reboot the device and try to update the firmware again.
  4. Please note that only the primary robot user can perform firmware updates, and users with shared access cannot perform updates.
