The Logic of Creating and Saving a Map on RoboVac L70 Hybrid

eufy’s RoboVac L70 Hybrid model uses Laser Path Navigation technology to precisely learn, navigate, and clean an entire floor of your home.  RoboVac L70 Hybrid is able to thoroughly and efficiently clean your home thanks to its smart path technology, the smart path technology enables RoboVac to seamlessly navigate an entire floor of your home while keeping track of its location on the map.

Additionally, RoboVac L70 Hybrid is equipped with Smart Map technology that offers real-time mapping status when you check the RoboVac’s cleaning status by using the eufy Clean app.  RoboVac L70 Hybrid is also able to save 1 map on the device after learning the layout of your home.

How Does RoboVac L70 Hybrid Create a Map?

RoboVac L70 Hybrid’s Lidar sensor rotates at a speed of 6 revolutions per second to scan its surroundings, and it is able to create an accurate map by using the reflected laser from obstacles, such as walls and furniture, in its surrounding environment.  Additionally, it implements SLAM Algorithm (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) to intelligently plan its cleaning path.

Note: Please ensure your RoboVac L70 Hybrid starts its cleaning cycle from the charging base, and it will need to complete a full cleaning cycle automatically in order to create a complete map of your home.  Please make sure you have verified the following conditions before starting the RoboVac from its charging base:

  • Remove all scattered objects from the floor, such as wires and toys.
  • Open every door of every room on the same floor for the RoboVac to enter and create a complete map of your home.
  • Do not manually interfere with the RoboVac while it is running its initial cleaning cycle and creating a map of your home, otherwise, it will most likely fail to create an accurate and complete map.

How Does RoboVac L70 Hybrid Save a Map?

RoboVac L70 Hybrid will automatically save a map on the device after it completes its first full cleaning cycle of your home and returns to the charging base.  Please make sure the RoboVac L70 Hybrid starts cleaning from the charging base and returns to the charging base to recharge without any manual interference.

Note: At least one “No-Go” or “No-Mop” zone must be created after the RoboVac successfully creates a map or the RoboVac will attempt to create a new map every time it cleans. How Do I Create a No-Go Zone / No-Mop Zone for RoboVac L70 Hybrid?
