Please refer to the following common questions regarding the installation of the Solar Wall Light Cam S120.
❓: What precautions should be taken before installing my S120 Solar Wall Light Cam?
💡: Before installing the S120 Solar Wall Light Cam, it's crucial to fully charge the device. This process can take up to four hours when using a 5V/2A power adapter. This ensures that your device has enough power to function correctly once it’s installed.
💡Note: When the camera is charging, the LED will remain solid blue and will turn off when fully charged. Please don’t use the adapter included in the package for charging. That is to be used when connecting to an external solar panel.
❓: Can the S120 Solar Wall Light Cam be installed outside?
💡: Yes, the S120 Solar Wall Light Cam is designed for outdoor installation. The camera can operate normally at temperatures up to 50°C (122°F). If the temperature reaches or exceeds this limit, the camera will send an overheating alert via the eufy Security app and shut down to prevent any potential damage. Once the temperature has cooled down, the S120 Solar Wall Light Cam will automatically turn back on and continue operating normally.
❓: At what height or angle should the S120 Solar Wall Light Cam be installed at?
💡: For optimal performance and field of view, it is highly recommended to mount the S120 Solar Wall Light Cam between 1.8-2.5m / 5.9-8.2ft above the ground. This height ensures the camera can adequately cover the area you would like to monitor.
❓: I don't want to drill holes in my wall, is there another installation method?
💡: We understand that not all users are comfortable with drilling holes to install a security device. Our product team carefully considered various installation methods during the design phase, including options that would not require drilling holes. However, after extensive research and testing, we found that using the provided mounting bracket and screws is the most reliable and secure method. This method ensures the best protection for your property, but it does require drilling.
