The Wrong-Try Protection function is designed to prevent strangers from trying to unlock your lock with random passcodes or wrong fingerprints. The Wrong-Try Protection function consists of two security measures:
- If someone tries to unlock your lock with a fingerprint, the fingerprint recognition will be disabled for 3min by default after 5 consecutive failures (by default). However, passcode recognition still can be used.
- If someone tries to unlock your lock with a passcode, both passcode and fingerprint recognition will be disabled for 3min by default after 5 consecutive failures (by default).
What is the Scramble Passcode function of the Smart Lock R20?
The Scramble Passcode function is the option for a user to input random numbers before or after the correct passcode (less than 12 digits in total).
With the Scramble Passcode function enabled, the passcode can be even more complicated and secure. It is harder for others to spy on your actual passcode when you are entering the passcode.
