Theoretically, a fully charged S330 eufyCam 3 can last up to one year; on the other hand, a fully charged S300 eufyCam 3C can last up to half a year.
The S330/S300 eufyCam cameras were tested in the following scenarios:
- 68°F / 20°C temperature.
- 10 motion detections per day and recorded for 30 seconds each time motion was detected.
Note: Standby power consumption was included in the usage time.
- Using the built-in battery only, without the built-in solar panel on S330 eufyCam 3 or an external eufy Solar Panel.
Please note that each camera’s battery life may vary as it depends on the number of times motion is detected, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures.
If your S330/S300 eufyCam is discharging quickly, please try the following troubleshooting steps to verify if the issue can be resolved:
1. Set the camera to the Optimal Battery Life Mode by going to Camera Settings > Power Manager > Working Mode.
2. Please check and make sure the signal strength between the camera and HomeBase is strong. Please also check your WiFi signal.
3. Select "Human Only" instead of "All Motions" and reduce the detection sensitivity by going to Camera Settings > Motion Detection.
4. Set up an Activity Zone to filter false detections by going to Camera Settings > Motion Detection > Activity Zone.
5. Please do not use any third-party plug-ins, clients, or scripts since they are incompatible with eufy products, which may lead to a larger power consumption.
Note: Certain eufy devices do not support Apple HomeKit, and using HomeKit-associated script may also drain the battery quicker.
6. Update the eufy Security app to the latest version.
7. For S330 eufyCam 3, please adjust the location of the camera so that its built-in solar panel is able to receive at least two hours of direct sunlight on a daily basis, if possible.
Note: The location of the camera will affect the efficiency of S330 eufyCam 3 camera’s solar charging. It is highly recommended to refer to the installation guidelines in the eufy Security app.
