S330/S300 eufyCam (eufyCam 3/3C) Sometimes Fail To Detect A Face
 

There should be several factors to affect Facial Detection:

 

1. The distance between eufyCam and the object.

2. The moving speed of the object.

3. The angle of the face in relation to the camera.

4. The brightness and clarity of the video.

5. During the daytime, the face detection distance is  15-20ft(5-7m). During the nighttime, the face detection distance will be shorter.

 

If the camera fails to detect the face, please try the following troubleshooting.

 

1. Please ensure the area you want to detect is located in the camera viewing area (≤8m/26ft)

 

2. Please ensure your camera is online and the battery has power. 

 

3. You can test the motion detection in your app and enable the motion detection button.

  • Steps: Device Tab>"..." Icon > Camera Settings > Motion Detection.
  • Also, remember to switch the motion detection to ON on your camera settings.

 

4. Please try to turn up the sensitivity level

  • Steps: Device Tab>"..." Icon > Camera Settings > Motion Detection > Sensor sensitivity.

 

5. Make sure the camera is not installed behind glass or windows: Will the motion detection on eufySecurity video devices work behind glass or windows?

 

6. Set the activity zone according to this instruction: Unlock the Power of eufy | Camera Activity Zones
