Since the launch of our product, we have received numerous inquiries about the Multi-Bridge feature, which is indeed a complex and specialized function. We have prepared this guide in the hope that it will help you better understand and make full use of this feature.
What is Multi-Bridge?
Multi-Bridge is a feature that allows your Eufy Security Camera to connect to the bound Homebase via a Router (2.4GHz band/5GHz band) as a bridge. This function frees the Eufy Security Camera from the constraints of the Homebase's built-in wireless signal and bandwidth, allowing for more flexible and expandable installation locations for the Eufy Security Camera. It also ensures that the connection and storage transmission performance between the wired cam and Homebase are more stable, keeping your entire network system in optimal operating condition.
How to use Multi-Bridge?
After linking to Homebase 3, you can set up Multi-Bridge Wi-Fi in Device Setting -> General -> Wi-Fi connection.
We will remind you whether you need to configure it based on the actual bandwidth situation of your base station. For instance, we will prompt you to configure Multi-Bridge Wi-Fi only when we detect that the HomeBase is experiencing an abnormal load.
- When the Homebase is under heavy load, the eufy security APP will display a network anomaly alert, prompting you to configure a Multi-Bridge Wi-Fi to help alleviate the load pressure on the base station. Multi-Bridge will dynamically adjust and allocate based on the actual network conditions of the devices.
- By clicking on the network anomaly icon, you will see a "Network Connection Issue" alert pop-up. Click on "Go to Wi-Fi connection settings" to proceed to the Multi-Bridge Wi-Fi settings page, or you can click "Got it" to close this pop-up (if you do not wish to receive this alert again, please check "Don’t show again" before clicking "Got it", so it will no longer pop up and disturb you).
- After clicking "Go to Wi-Fi connection setting," you will enter the Wi-Fi settings page to configure "Multi-Bridge Wi-Fi." Once enabled, it can configure multi-bridge Wi-Fi for the settings within the Homebase ecosystem, ensuring that your devices are always operating under optimal network conditions.
We are constantly striving to enhance its compatibility and user-friendliness, but at present, it is indeed a more specialized function.
