The water fountain’s pump has to be washed at least once per month in order for the pump to maintain its optimal performance.
It is highly recommended to clean the water fountain and change the filter when you clean the pump. Additionally, multi-pet households may need to clean the water fountain every two weeks instead of cleaning it once per month.
