Wrong-Try Protection on eufy smart lock is designed to prevent some strangers from trying to unlock your lock with random passcodes or wrong fingerprints. If someone enters an incorrect passcode or fingerprint too many times in a row, a lockdown period will occur. You can enable this function in Lock Settings > Wrong-Try Protection via the eufy app.
When the limit of incorrect fingerprint attempts is reached, you can still unlock your door using your passcode. When the limit of incorrect passcode attempts is reached, both the fingerprint and passcode will be in lockdown. The default Wrong-Try attempts of passcode and fingerprint unlock are five times and the default lockdown time should be three minutes.
For example, under the default settings, if someone is trying to unlock your door with his fingerprint and enters an incorrect fingerprint five times, the fingerprint unlock method on the smart lock will be disabled for three minutes by default, but the passcode unlock is still available. After entering the incorrect passcode five times, neither passcode nor fingerprint unlock can be used on the smart lock for three minutes.
