❓: Is the Floodlight Cam E340 battery-powered?

💡: No, the Floodlight Cam E340 requires hardwired installation with AC 100V - 240V. Please DO NOT use a dimmer switch or timer for this product.

 

❓: Can I use the USB-C port to power the Floodlight Cam E340?

💡: No, the USB-C port is for setting up the camera only and it cannot be used to power the camera on a daily basis.

 

❓: Are the floodlight panels replaceable?

💡: No, the floodlight panels are not replaceable. The lifespan of the lights is more than 100,000 hours.

 

❓: Can I adjust the tightness of the floodlight panels?

💡: No, the light panels have been reinforced during production and they have a certain level of wind resistance.

 

❓: What are the screws in the package used for?

💡: The package contains either two or three screw bags. Screw Bag A includes screws and anchors, which are used to install the mounting bracket on the wall. Screw Bag B contains base screws, which are used to secure the camera body to the mounting bracket. Screw Bag C (only for US/CA regions) includes bracket screws and earth screws, which are used to secure the mounting bracket to the junction box and secure the ground wire.

💡: The Floodlight Cam E340 requires either a microSD card (up to 128GB) or a connection to HomeBase S380 (HomeBase 3) to enable 24/7 continuous recording.

You can select 5GHz Wi-Fi for faster, smoother live views, or use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for extended range. A Wi-Fi 6 router is recommended for optimal performance.

💡: Preset positions are pre-set camera monitoring locations. You can set up to four monitoring areas in the eufy app, and quickly move the camera to one of the specified positions with one click in the app.

💡: When continuously recording at the highest resolution, it can record up to 144 hours (6 days) of footage. You can also connect your camera to HomeBase 3 for additional video storage capacity.

 

❓: If my camera or microSD card is stolen, can others view the recorded footage?

💡: No, all video recordings are encrypted and bound to your eufy Security account. The stored video recordings can only be accessed by logging in to your eufy Security account and binding the camera.

 

❓: Can I use the camera without a microSD card installed?

💡: Yes, you can use your camera's live stream, two-way audio, control lights, and receive motion detection notifications normally without having a microSD card installed. However, since the camera does not have internal storage, your camera will not be able to record and save any video clips. In addition to using a microSD card, you can also connect your camera to HomeBase 3 or the cloud to store video recordings.
