Projector resolution is an important specification that should be taken into consideration when purchasing a projector. It is a term used to describe the clarity and sharpness of the image projected by a projector through the number of dots or pixels used to project an image. 

Resolution is expressed as the number of pixels on the horizontal axis by the number of pixels on the vertical axis. For example, a 720P resolution, also known as HD (High Definition), offers about 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution, with 1280 referring to horizontal width and 720 referring to vertical height. The more pixels are used to project an image, the less the projected picture from a projector will look blurry or even pixelated. In other words, the greater the resolution of a projector, the better the projected image from the projector.
